Larry Mauer, 67, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born October 12, 1950 in Evansville to the late Joseph and Helen (Happel) Mauer.
He was an Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Larry graduated from Reitz High school in 1968 and graduated from Vincennes University. He worked at Alcoa and later at Master Tool and Die. He enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with his family and was a loving husband, devoted father and respected friend.
Larry is survived by his wife of 26 years, Donna (Hill) Mauer; sons, Joe Mauer and Bill Mauer (Nichole); grandchildren, Evelyn and Ethan; step-son, Shawn Daniel (Holly); step-grandchildren, Tanner Daniel and Max Moore, and sister, Jane Mead (Harold).
A Funeral Service will be 11:00AM, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev. Jeff Long, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 4:00 to 8:00PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road and Thursday 10:00AM to service time at the cemetery.
