Beadie Custer Jarrett

Beadie Elsie Custer Jarrett, 89, of Martinsville, VA. went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on March 10, 2018. She was born in Patrick County, VA. on August 29, 1928 to Charles Jackson Custer and Lucy Ann Martin Custer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Jarrett, her brothers Roy Custer, Ralph Custer and Sanford Custer, and her sister Hallie Kendrick. She is survived by her son Mark A. Jarrett and his wife Ginny of Reidsville, NC; her Step-Sons: Bobby Ray Jarrett and his wife Wilma of Fredericksburg, VA., and Bill Jarrett of Greensboro NC.; Grandchildren: Kaleb Jarrett, and Amanda Hatcher; Great Grandchildren: Sophia, Emma, and Greyson; Step-Grandchildren: David Jarrett, Chris Jarrett, Jim Jarrett, and Jeff Jarrett; and Step-Great Grandchildren: Maggie, Sam, Ella, Allison, Allyssa, Lindsey, Julien, and Wesley. Mrs. Jarrett retired from Bassett-Walker as a machine operator. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Patrick County. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, in Bassett with Minister Tom Warren officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
