Mary Ann Cambre

Mary Ann Cambre, 89, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Mary was born to the late Herman and Alice (Klug) Berghoff on June 10, 1928. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church where she volunteered in a variety of outreach activities including visitation to the disabled and elderly and sang in the special funeral choir. Mary enjoyed reading and made countless rosaries which she gave away as gifts. She was a member of the Rosary Society, Legion of Mary, Homemaker's Club and the Allen County Right to Life. Mary will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and generosity.
Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Max Cambre; children, John, Louis, and Cecile Cambre; sisters, Helen Nix and Carol Coffaro; and countless nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Tony Berghoff, Paul Berghoff, Tom Berghoff, Bernard Berghoff, Gustave Berghoff, Robert Berghoff, and Alice Devine.
Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10:30 am at Queen of Angels Catholic Church (1500 West State Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be Monday, March 19, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home (1327 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808). A Rosary Service will be held on Monday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church Cemetery (1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Care Center.
