Douglas Alan Smith

Douglas Alan Smith, 54, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at his home. He was born April 11, 1963, in Evansville, IN to David and Patricia (Butsch) Smith. He worked as an electrician for the Local IBEW 16 and was a true “jack of all trades”. Douglas was an avid Harley enthusiast and enjoyed a ride to Alaska. He was a proud member of the Harley Owners Group. Douglas was preceded in death by brother, Mark Smith; grandparents, William and Louise Butsch; and uncle, Bill Butsch. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Stephenson) Smith; daughter, Crystal Smith; grandchildren, Zoey Smith, Alyssa White, Izzy Darr, Jaxson Gunter and Holden Feldman; step-children, Rachel Maynard and Melissa Maynard; parents, David and Patricia Smith; sister, Janet Burnett (Darren); aunts, Bette Spray, Sherry Butsch and Ruth Kratzer; nieces and nephews, Patty Steele (Scott), Jennifer Flores (Martin), Donna Spray and Valerie Burnett. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, March 26, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Cliff Herring, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park.
