James Thomas Barricks

James Thomas Barricks, 67, of Lynchburg passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was the loving husband of Betty Christian Barricks. Born on January 26, 1951 in Rustburg, he was the son of the late James K. Barricks and Della Walsh. James was a truck driver for DD&D Trucking Company. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Judy Creasey. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children, Angie Barricks, Donald “Red” Barricks and wife Janet, James Barricks and wife Angelia, Thomas Barricks, Kenneth Barricks and Anthony Barricks and wife Samantha; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Bryant; brother, David Barricks and Jerry Wayne Barricks; and numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Shekinah Glory Baptist Church, 5434 Pleasant Valley Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Shekinah Glory Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Cumbie Cemetery in Rustburg.
