Obituary of Chester H. "Chet" Reynolds Jr.
Chester H. “Chet” Reynolds, Jr. 74 years of age passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born September 19, 1943 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Chester H. Reynolds, Sr. and Merlin Miller. He was retired from Lafayette Venetian Blind Inc. after 40 years. Chet was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Sellersburg. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were Purdue, U of L and Bellarmine University. Some of his favorite things to do included listening to old country music, playing euchre and poker with the guys, and occasionally making a trip to one of the local casinos. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humor, he was kind and quiet but when he had something to say everyone seemed to listen. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and family members. Chet was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lydia Ricci. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years Ruth Ann (Buren) Reynolds, children, Donald “Don” Reynolds, Kevin Knott (Mary Alice), Karen Knott Ricci, and Kimberley Knott Farrell (Fred), grandchildren, Kaitlyn Knott, Lucy Knott Daddona (Nick), George Knott (Aimee), Olivia, Caroline, Quinn, Molly, and Lilly Farrell, great-granddaughter, Charlotte Daddona, siblings, Shirley Reynolds, Michael Reynolds (Belin), Kay Berninger (Howard), Barbara Warford (Dave), and many close friends. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 10:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 pm Saturday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill Campus) in Sellersburg with burial to follow in St. Joe Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Providence High School, or Crusade for Children. Online condolences may be made to www.kraftfs.com
