Ethel Lee Johnson

Ethel Lee (Bryant) Johnson, 68, of Evansville, IN, passed away April 10, 2018. She was born February 9, 1949, to the late Lee Clarence and Maple Lee Bryant. Ethel was a woman of God. She attended Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ and Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ. Ethel was an excellent dancer and enjoyed cooking. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter White Johnson in 1975; son, Carlos D. Johnson; daughter, Cindy Johnson; brother, Ted Bryant; sister, Lorraine Robinson; and boyfriend, Thomas Sims. Ethel is survived by her sons, Minister William Johnson (Chavon), Garvin Johnson (Rena), Tony Sims; daughters, Fleisha Sims, Monica Johnson; 22 grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Reeves, Ann Douglas, Alice Douglas, Lena May Douglas; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held 4:00 PM on April 14, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Minister William Johnson, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends visited from 3:00 PM until service time at the Funeral Home.
