Jeremiah Brenton

Jeremiah Brenton, 80, of Rosedale, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was born on January 19, 1938, in Terre Haute to Thomas Leslie Brenton and Hazel Russa Brenton. He is survived by his children, Jeremiah Brenton, Jr. of Indianapolis, Jennifer Brenton of Terre Haute, Hazel Brenton of Rosedale, Deborah Brenton Lambert of West Terre Haute, Nickie Brenton of Clinton, and Scott Brenton of Rosedale; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his beloved dogs, Pee Wee and Benji. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Cynthia Brenton, whom he married on July 31, 1960; son, Tom Brenton; his parents, and his siblings. Jeremiah was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for many years as a truck driver and transported produce and merchandise. He enjoyed gardening and watching television. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 13 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating. Jeremiah will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife in Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors by American Legion Post 104.
