Donald Lederer

On April 11, 2018 of Fairfax, VA. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean Wilma Lederer. Loving father of Pam (David) Jensen, and proud grandfather of Ashley and Caitlin Jensen. He worked for the Fairfax County Park Authority for almost 30 years during which time he put together five park bond programs, the design division he started grew to 32 staff, and the park system grew from 8 parks to over 300. He resided in Fairfax City for over 55 years. During this time he developed the Master plans for Ranger Road, Daniels Run and Van Dyke parks and served as chairman of the city's community appearance committee for over 20 years. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday May 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel at Demaine Funeral Home 10565 Main Street Fairfax, VA 22030. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org)
