William "Billy" Henry Wayland Jr.

William Henry "Billy" Wayland Jr., age 75, of Culpeper, Virginia passed away on Saturday April 21, 2018. William was born to William H. Wayland, Sr., and Ellen Steward July 8, 1942 in Downingtown,PA. Billy was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and member of the Culpeper Baptist Church. He spent many years in law enforcement with both Culpeper Town Police Department and Culpeper County Sheriff's Office. Surviving Billy is his wife of 55 years, Jane Hudson Wayland of Culpeper, VA, son, David Alan Wayland and his wife Debbie of Culpeper, VA, grandchildren, Joseph Alan Wayland of Newport News, VA, Amy Lynnette Wayland of Culpeper, VA, sister, Janet Elsea and her husband Henry of Harrisonburg, VA, several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA, with Pastor Dan Carlton officiating. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, consider contributions to the Building Fund of the Culpeper Baptist Church.
