Beulah Belle Shrum-Hughes, 93, West Plains, MO, formerly of Kokomo, passed away on April 18th, 2018. Beulah was born on January 9th, 1925 to her parents Marion Josiah and Huldah Haney (Mcilvaine) in Kokomo, Indiana. Beulah married Cleo Edward Hughes on January 9th, 1946 in Kokomo, Indiana, who preceded her in death on June 5th, 1978. Beulah graduated from Kokomo High School. She worked at the Salvation Army store and also in their office. She was the leader of the Girl Guards and a counselor of the youth. Beulah enjoyed baking, sewing, and crocheting. Her greatest passion in life was serving her lord and savior and spending time with her loving family. She is survived by her children Edward (Jenn) Hughes, Terry Kleiber, and Randy Hughes, grandchildren Jason (Nathan) Hughes, Stephen Oakes, Franklin (Jamie) Hughes, Jeremy Oakes, Anthony Hughes, Wesley Hughes, and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cleo Edward Hughes, siblings Sylvia, Roxie, Ralph, Edward, and Ruth; daughter Joyce Hughes; son-in-law Mason Kleiber, and granddaughter in-law Heidi Oakes. Services will be Friday May 4th, 2018 at 3:00pm at the Salvation Army. Family and Friends may visit from 1:00-3:00pm. Major David Lutz and Joanne Ashcraft. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Crown Point Cemetery.
