Obituary of Donald Lee Mullis
Donald Lee Mullis, age 74, of Bloomington died Saturday at his residence. Born November 6, 1943 in Bloomington, he was the son of Clarence and Juanita (Ferran) Mullis. He was retired from the College Mall in Bloomington as a supervisor over maintenance. He also had served as a Monroe County Reserve Deputy Sheriff. Donald was a member of W. 11th St. Pentecostal Faith Assembly. Donald is survived by his loving family; his daughter, Katrina Cordell, Of Bloomington, one son, Danny Mullis, of Bloomfield, one step-daughter, Karen Lynn Meadows, of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Brandy Baker, Chase Cordell, Kirk (Cathleen) Mullis and Mark (Cora) Mullis; two step-grandchildren, Dylan (Kim) Meadows and Sarah Beth (Javier) De-Dios, ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sue (Jerry) Thacker, Shirley (Gerald) Hendricks and Doris (Don) Yoder, all of Bloomington; three brothers, Larry (companion-Sandy Ritter) Mullis, of Ellettsville, Rickey (Linda) Mullis, of Bloomington and Tim Huffman, of Bloomington, one aunt, Helen Davis, of Bloomington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda (Stephens) Mullis, second wife, Sarah Jane (Stogdill) Mullis, on July 29, 2017, his father, Clarence Mullis, his mother, Juanita Mullis Huffman and two brothers, Darrell Mullis and Marvin Ray Mullis. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service time at 1:00 p.m. in the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. Pastor Michael Douglas will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family suggests any memorial contributions be given to the W. 11th St. Pentecostal Faith Assembly.
