Juanita Payne Bradford

Juanita Payne Bradford, 72, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Stuart Payne. Juanita worked at Third Presbyterian and Nelsen Funeral Home. She was a dedicated member at Parham Road Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School and served on numerous committees. Juanita is survived by her husband of 42 years, Keith Bradford; children, Dana Delano (Tim), Rita Carreras (Brian); grandchildren, Molly and Miles; mother, Mary Payne; siblings, Martha Bailey (Jerry), Linda Calhoun (Mike), Ronnie Payne, and Jan Abernathey (Donnie); aunt, Regina Pryor, as well as several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Juanita deeply enjoyed spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005, where a funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00am. Following the funeral there will be a time of fellowship at Parham Road Baptist Church, 2101 N. Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 3:00pm at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 4768 Shannon Hill Rd, Columbia, VA 23038. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parham Road Baptist Church.
