Flossie Grace (Rush) Clinton passed away May3 at 11:40pm at North Woods Village. She was born March 27, 1925 in Red Boiling Springs, TN to Howard and Vassie (Gravins) Rush.
Flossie married Earl C. Clinton July 30, 1947 in Glosgow, Kentucky, and together moved to Indiana later that same year. She was a devoted mother and loved the Lord. She was a homemaker and stayed home, raising her children at 1614 S. Union St. here in Kokomo. She was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church.
When Earl first retired, they owned a place near Mississinewa Lake for over 13 years where they fished, sometimes twice a day. Catching crappie was a passion of hers. She was also quite the quilt maker!
Flossie is survived by her children, Junior (Margie) Rush, Al (Karen) Clinton, Wayne (Brenda) Clinton, Kay (Jerry) Lasley, Phyllis (Doug) Rogers and Patty (Kevin) Carey; grandchildren, Staci (Brad) Smith, Shannon (Eric) Gomez, Chris Lasley, Melissa (Jason) Goad, Ryan (Carla) Carey, Kristin (Mat) Pherson, Rebecca Smoker, Sarah (Ron) Riley, Ricky Rush, and Bobby Rush; and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Family will receive friends at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902 Monday, May 7 from 4-6pm with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Rd Kokomo, IN 46902.
