Sherry Talbert Turner, 63, of Mechanicsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 10, 2018. She courageously fought her battle with Alzheimer's and is now at peace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; parents, Bill and Marjorie Talbert; and brother, Billy Talbert. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Emily Grubb (Justin) and Jenny DeVaughn (Mike); granddaughter, Harper DeVaughn; and soon to be born grandson, Baby Grubb; sister, Ann Lecarpentier (Donnie); niece, Sandi Chesworth (Evan); and great-nephew, Draven Chesworth. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and dear friends. Sherry had a master's degree in accounting, along with her PMP certification that she used in project management at Dominion Energy. She loved spending time with family and friends and her favorite hobby was scrapbooking her memories. Special thanks to the staff of Sunrise of Richmond for making these last two years fulfilling! The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 23, at 11 a.m. in Signal Hill Memorial Park. Dr. Rob Edwards of New Bridge Baptist Church will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, team name AlwaysOurMom.
