Don M. Rietdorf

Don M. Rietdorf, 94, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born on March 18, 1924, a son of the late Carl and Eva (Leichty) Rietdorf. He graduated from South Side High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany, France, and Austria. He worked for F&M Tile. He was a member at First Missionary Church. He will be remembered as a true man of faith and was deeply devoted to his wife and family. He also enjoyed IU basketball. Surviving family include his daughter, Sally (Jim) Lohman; sons, Tim (Tamy) and Mark (Deb) Rietdorf; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Helen (Dye) Rietdorf; and brother, Wayne Rietdorf. A private family celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse. Greenlawn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne is handling arrangements.
