Alice Z. Fender
September 6, 1924 – July 22, 2018
Alice Z. Fender, 93, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born September 6, 1924 in Greenfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Henry and Maude Wilson.
Alice was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of Christ. She retired from Indiana University. She participated in the Senior Olympics and won a few gold medals. Alice enjoyed flowers, bird-watching, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Alice is survived by her son, Larry Fender; her two grandchildren, Jeffrey Fender and his wife Rachel, and Jennifer Price and her husband Branden; two great- grandchildren, Jordyn and Levi Fender; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Fender; daughter-in-law, Nancy Fender; two sisters, Nellie Clark and Ruth Sowder; and a brother, Sam Wilson
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, officiated by Pastor Billy Williams. Interment will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel.
