Travis Edward Cox Sr.

Travis Edward Cox, Sr., age 65 of Evington, loving husband of Mary J. Cox passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his home. Born on January 6, 1953 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Margaret L. Cox. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Travis E. Cox, Jr. He is survived by his wife Mary; two daughters, Angela Cox (Lee Day) and Laura Ferguson (Troy Wood); two sisters, Carolyn McKinney (Bennie) and Iris Little; one brother, Robert Cox (Lee); six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a special friend, Joyce Fuller. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at The First Baptist Church of Evington with Pastor Alvin Triplett and Pastor Dave Place officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home on Tuesday.
