Evelyn Schilling

Evelyn Schilling, 99, of Greensburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Evelyn was born July 21, 1919 in Jennings County, Indiana to John and Elnora Elliott Fike. She was a 1937 graduate of Jackson School. On April 5, 1941 she married Herbert Schilling and together they had three sons. Evelyn is survived by; sons, John (Marilyn) Schilling, Michael (Phyllis) Schilling and Richard (Norma Jean) Schilling; grandchildren, Melissa (Barry) Day, Eric (April) Schilling, Andy (Alison) Schilling, Betsy (Kyle) Kennelly, Kristy (Chris) Tebbe and Becky (Matt) Bower; and 16 great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Schilling; father, John Fike; mother, Elnora Fike; sisters, Grace Bartle, Lula Martin, Mabel Deppert, Mildred Griffith and Gladys Mills; brothers, Clarence Fike and William Fike. A visitation for Evelyn will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 1:00 PM at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Wolford will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church or to Our Hospice.
