Judith Doerflein

Judith Gail “Judy” Harsh Doerflein, 65, of Connersville, died Monday evening, October 1, 2018, at her residence. Judy was born in Connersville on June 26, 1953, to Dalbert Gail and Armeitie Ruby McFarland Harsh, attended Connersville area schools, and received her General Education Diploma from Connersville High School. On her birthday in 1987, she married the love of her life, Gary Doerflein. Judy retired from Stant Manufacturing and previously employed at Ford Electronics and Refrigeration, Design and Manufacturing, Indiana Ordinance and B & C Video. She was a member of Trinity Praise and Worship Center. Family was of utmost importance to Judy and she relished their time together. She was an animal lover, especially her cats. Judy also enjoyed fast cars and rock ‘n roll music. Judy is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Gary Doerflein of Connersville; her daughter: Angela Gail Stegner and her husband, Darren; her step-children: Chris Doerflein and his wife, Annette; Renee Gunnell, all of Connersville; her grandchildren: Dalton Stegner and his wife, Mary Beth of Carmel; Riley Stegner of Indianapolis; her step grandchildren: Cali, Kelsi, Kadence and Chole Doerflein; Sierra, Tempest, Draven; step great-grandchildren: Kiera, Freya and Kanaan; her sisters: Janet Barrett and her husband, Arthur; Gwendolyn “Joanie” Messer, of Connersville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law: Mark E. Messer and Danny Callahan. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Pastor Larry Horn officiating. Interment will follow in Everton Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
