Richard Donald Thornhill

Richard Donald Thornhill, age 52, passed away on November 1, 2018, in Greenville, North Carolina. Richard was born in Washington, D.C., on May 24, 1966. He attended Robert Frost Junior High School and Thomas S. Wootton High School, both in Rockville, Maryland, and earned a BA degree from Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed researching the Thornhill family geneology. Richard is the son of Donald Russell Thornhill and Wilda Whitt Thornhill. Richard is survived by his mother Wilda W. Thornhill and his sister Angela F. Thornhill, both resident in Wilmington, NC; by his daughter Brittany Thornhill Stancil and his son Christopher Thornhill, both resident in Greenville, NC; by his daughter Kelley Marie Hang, resident in Frederick, MD; and his grandchildren: Marshall Stancil, Sebastian Hang and Devin Hang. Richard was preceded in death by his brother Marcus R. Thornhill (1990), his father Donald R. Thornhill (1998), and his grandparents James Russell Thornhill (1998) and Lorelle Rosson Thornhill (1991), both originally of Culpeper, Virginia. Graveside services will be held at Robinson River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 4315 Lillards Ford Road, Brightwood, Virginia, on November 7, 2018.
