Thomas E. Campbell
February 16, 1940 – November 15, 2018

Thomas Edmund Campbell, 78, of Stuarts Draft, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 16, 1940, a son of the late George W. and Lillian B. Campbell.
Thomas retired from the United Parcel Service after 29 years of service. He enjoyed boating at Smith Mountain Lake, hunting and fishing. He also attended New Vision Church in Stuarts Draft.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Corbert, William, Bobby and George, Jr.; and two sisters, Madge Coffey and Isabelle Harris.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Martha of 59 years of marriage; two sons, Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Karen and Tony and his friend, Susan Patterson; one daughter, Tammy and her fiancé, Terry Bass; two granddaughters, Tasha Ogden and Tiffany Campbell and her fiancé, Daniel Wise; two great grandsons, Chase Hammer and Couper Doyle; a sister, Janet Bess; and as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Darrell Via and Pastor Brian Law officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Ray Jefferson, Kenny Beverly, Leon Benard, Bill Fainter, Larry Johnson, Derek Neese, Garland Coffey and Daniel Wise.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Augusta Health ICU, Darrell Via, Brian Law and Diane Coffey for being “their rock” and a helpful niece.
