Betty “Ruth” Williams, 94, of Evansville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, under the care of Kindred Hospice. She was born January 4, 1924 to the late George T. and Kate (Irwin) Garrison of Keenes, Illinois.
Ruth retired from the Protestant Home and was a member of the Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family. She has been a huge inspiration to her family and will be greatly missed. She will be remembered as a very kind and compassionate person.
Survived by sons, Carroll Willard Braddock and wife, Elsie of Johnsonville, Illinois, Mike Williams of Evansville; daughter, Sandy Lowery of Evansville; 6 grandchildren, Karen Newman (Bill), Cammie Blevins, Jeff Lowery (Stacey), Sarah Lowery (Jason), Julie Marks (Scott) and Chad Williams (Larissa); 12 great-grandchildren, Aaron Newman, Kyrstin Blevins, Tanner, Kylee, Kennedi and Regan Lowery, Preslee Ayscue, Amber, Chase and Erica Marks, Austin and Liam Williams and 2 great-great grandchildren, Logan and McKenzie Newman.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester B. Williams; brothers, Bub Garrison, Orville Garrison and Dale Garrison and sister, Ann McDonald.
A Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Chet Todd, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
