Rosalie Stam

Rosalie Stam, 87, passed away on November 25, 2018 at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Mrs. Stam was born on October 1, 1931 in Brazil, Indiana to Taylor and Nellie Miles (Hill-Hart).
Mrs. Stam was a graduate of Columbus High School. She married Alan Stam on April 9, 1950.
Mrs. Stam spent most of her life raising her four children and later she enjoyed gardening and teaching Sunday School. She was a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church. Some may remember her Iris and Daylily garden, "Covenant Garden", at 22nd and Midway street.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sandy Hook United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Austin officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel, 3729 25th Street Columbus, Indiana 47203. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.
Mrs. Stam is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Bruce) Ahlemeyer, of Indianapolis; her son, Mitch Stam; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gene Hill of Houston, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alan Stam, and two sons, Michael Stam and Mark Stam.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Stam's name may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
Myers-Reed Chapel is serving the Stam Family.
