Naomi June Taylor Bezdan Hardee, of Henrico, Virginia passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of Wednesday, December 5, 2018. June was born in Hickory, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1934 to James Miller Taylor and Naomi Evelyn Taylor. When she was 12, she moved to Apopka, Florida where she attended Apopka High School. While living in Apopka she met Andrew John Bezdan. They were married on December 28th, 1950 and remained so until Andrew's passing in May 1983. While attending a high school reunion in 1987 she reunited with an old classmate Jerry Hardee and they married and remained so until Jerry's passing 1994. Throughout her career June worked for Miller & Rhoads, Ford Motor Company, the Medical College of Virginia and the Virginia Department of Transportation before retiring in 1991.
During her life, June enjoyed a number of hobbies that ranged from collecting unique items to fishing, camping, sewing and painting. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Melva Lynn Henry.
Surviving are her sister Jimmie Lou Beasley, her three daughters, Rebecca Bezdan and husband Craig Balderson, Deborah Winans and husband Gary, Andrea Isner and husband Rob, her son, James Bezdan and wife Laura; seven grandchildren, Stephen Balderson, Ashley Balderson, Rachel Balderson, Andrew Balderson, Christopher Coats, Sara Coats, and Hunter Bezdan; one great-grandchild, Jayda Bezdan. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on December 15, 2018, at Signal Hill Memorial Park in Hanover, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
