Doris Lee Nasseth, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 90. Born on April 14, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her parents Lee Chester and Lucy Jackman, her husband Clay Nasseth, and former husband John Givens.
Doris grew up in Glasgow, Kentucky and attended college at Western Kentucky University where she went on to teach. Following teaching she then went on to become a branch manager for PNC Bank in New Albany where she retired from in 1988. As a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother she enjoyed time with her family and friends as well as watching her beloved Hoosiers or any other college basketball game she could find on TV. She will always be remembered for her wonderful country ham, and homemade biscuits and gravy.
She is survived by her son, Monty Givens (Darci), daughter, Marla Kelley (Fred), grandchildren, Ginger Givens (John Gettelfinger), Chelsey Oakes (Tyler), Samuel Kelley (Rebecca),and Kayse Kelley, great-grandchildren, Abraham, Arthur, and Cooper along with her good friend and caregiver, Marina Attwood.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday with a remembrance service starting at 4:30pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. A graveside service will be held 12:00 pm EST, 11:00 am CST Monday at Cave City Cemetery in Kentucky. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 707 Dripping Springs Rd., Glasgow, KY 42141.
