Dirk O. DeWolfe
November 13, 1942 – January 3, 2019

Dirk O. DeWolfe, 76 of New Haven and formerly of Fort Wayne passed away at 7:08 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Parkview Hospital. Dirk worked with Easterseals Arc of N.E. Indiana for many years and lived in one of their group homes for several years. He loved coffee, taking naps, basketball, wrestling, old westerns and telling stories. Dirk enjoyed animals, especially cats and dogs. Most importantly, family was everything to Dirk.
Dirk was born on November 13, 1942 in Cortland, New York, the son of Olon and Virginia (Corl) DeWolfe.
Survivors include: five sisters: Jackie Chapin of Georgetown, NY; Andrea Davies of Ossian; Betsy Harris of Michigan; Holly Hughes of Ossian; Alicia Getts of Bluffton; two brothers: Walt DeWolfe of New Haven and Scott DeWolfe of Garrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Mike DeWolfe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 following visitation at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Wally Morris officiating.
Interment will be at Markle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to Easterseals Arc of N.E. Indiana in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
