Rosanna W. Jennings, 94 of North Manchester, formerly of Roanoke, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Peabody Retirement Community. Rosanna had worked in the Cost Department of General Electric, at the Broadway Plant, for 22 years from 1953 to 1975. She later worked as a Secretary at the UB Headquarters for one year and then for 2 years in the President’s Office at Huntington College. She was a 1942 graduate of Roanoke High school, a member of the New Hope United Brethren Church and former member of the Seminary United Methodist Church and the Northridge Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. Rosanna enjoyed playing the marimba and piano. She taught piano and organ for many years after her retirement. Rosanna was born on November 19, 1924 in Roanoke, a daughter of Ralph and Elta (Smith) Witherow. She was united in marriage to C. Emerson Jennings on July 29, 1945 in Roanoke. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2014. Survivors include two daughters: Charlene (John) Eddingfield of Huntington and Karen (Mark) Stine of Spencerville. Five grandchildren: Jon (Tammy) Eddingfield of Huntington, Charmaine (Mac) Gray of Warren, Tara (Marc) Sells of Huntington, Jeremy Rollins of Noblesville and Jessica (Mike) Waitek of Fishers. 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; a twin sister Rosella Corll of North Manchester and sister in law Phyllis Witherow of Huntington. She was preceded in death by a brother Verlin Witherow and a sister Helen Grier. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Ray Seilhamer officiating. There will be one of visitation prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date at the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke. Memorial donations can be made out to Visiting Nurse and Hospice or to the New Hope United Brethren Church, both can be sent in care to Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
