Carnell T. Teachey, 89, entered Heavens Gates on February 3, 2019. He was husband to Iva Teachey with whom he shared 67 blissful years. He was born in Hopewell, Virginia to Tyson and Ruby Teachey, raised in Richmond where he met his beloved Iva, joined the Army, raised a family, and enjoyed life.
Carnell was a member and elder of the Bon Air Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He took delight in guiding young men to adulthood as a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 17 years.
His wife, Iva, his two children, Kim and Troy, and their respective wives Susan and Michelle, seven grandchildren, Amy, Mandy, Adam, Tyler, Devin, Zachary, and Alexandra, and three great grandchildren, Blake, Bryce, and Caroline survive him.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 8th from 4 – 5pm and again from 6 – 7pm for viewing at Woody’s Funeral Home at 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va and the funeral service at that same location on Saturday, February 9th at 9am.
