William Bruce Corbin Jr.

William B. Corbin, Jr., 83, of Rapidan, VA passed away February 2, 2019 in Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 25, 1935 to William Bruce Corbin, Sr. and Katie Dodson Corbin. Mr. Corbin served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of Sergeant Major and was highly decorated for his service. In his civilian life he was a realtor, contractor, gentleman farmer and was a part-time teacher.
Surviving Mr. Corbin are his children, W.B. Corbin, Shari Lee Corbin and David Allen Corbin; his siblings, Caroline Mason, Shirley Racey and Savilla Thomas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Corbin ; his parents, William B. Corbin, Sr. and Katie Dodson Corbin and his siblings, Eunice Meier, Pauline Kelchner, Marjorie Jenkins and Dorothy Corbin.
Funeral service will be held Friday February 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery (New Grounds) at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be directed to V.F.W. Post 2524, 1375 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701 or to the American Legion, 14222 Rixeyville Road, Culpeper, VA 22701.
