Marvin Bishop Miller, Sr., 91, of Madison Heights, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at his residence. He was the husband of Anne Hudson Miller.
Born on February 1, 1928 in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Martin Bishop Miller and the late Annie Taylor Walker. Marvin served our country in the United States Army Air Force and retired from the C & O Railroad after 49 years of service. He was a member of Amherst Baptist Church and two masonic lodges, Clinton Lodge #73 and Trayler Daylight Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Marvin is survived by is his wife, Anne Miller; daughter, Sharon Miller; two sons, Steven Miller and wife Debbie and Marvin Miller, Jr.; four grandchildren, Andrew Monce, Amanda Tilly, Jessica Wingfield, and Augustus Miller; six great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Whitten Monelison Chapel, with Pastor David Clay officiating.
