Delia Lynne Eitt
1973-2019
Delia Lynne Eitt passed away on February 8, 2019. She was born in Georgetown Hospital on December 26, 1973.
Delia was the first born to Mark and Elizabeth and she led the way in life for her sister, Gretchen and brother Dominic. As a child she was curious and full of vigorous energy, insightful and intuitive beyond her years. Delia’s eyes were black pearls that saw so much which made her unusual as a child, as an adult and even into these moments without her physical presence.
From a young age, she was a fearless independent soul who always stood firm in her position and beliefs. Nature was her playground and the ocean her place of joy. Delia was a protector. She watched over everyone she loved with ferocity and acute attention. She was strikingly beautiful and mysterious with a soul that now lights up the sky.
She inspired those around her with her determination, tenacity, bravery and strength. She showed this world what quiet courage looks like. She embraced laughter and humor every-day with a smile that gave warm light to any room. Her heart was perfect and her grace indescribable.
Delia was a precious part of so many people’s life story. The adoration and reverence felt for her by friends and family is everlasting.
Delia is survived by her parents, Mark and Elizabeth Eitt; her sister, Gretchen Eitt; her brother Dominic Eitt, sister-in-law, Molly Gilason; and her nephew, Knox Eitt.
Delia led a beautiful life and showed us all the way of that beauty.
Walking in Beauty
(A prayer)
Today I will walk out, today everything unnecessary will leave me, I will be as I was before, I will have a cool breeze over my body, I will have a light body, I will be forever happy, nothing will hinder me.
I walk with Beauty below me.
I walk with Beauty above me.
I walk with Beauty all around me.
My words will be Beautiful.
In Beauty, all day long, may I walk.
In Beauty, all day long, may I walk.
Through the returning seasons, may I walk.
On the trail marked with pollen, may I walk.
With dew on my feet, may I walk.
With Beauty before me, may I walk.
With Beauty behind me, may I walk.
With Beauty below me, may I walk.
With Beauty above me, may I walk.
With Beauty all around me, may I walk.
In old age wandering a trail of Beauty
Lively, may I walk.
In old age wandering a trail of Beauty
Living again, may I walk.
It is finished in Beauty.
It is finished in Beauty.
Aho.
