Obituary of Alan Lee Miller
Alan Lee Miller, 60, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. He was born June 14, 1958, in Havre de Grace, Maryland and was the son of Robert and Marion Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beth Miller Winstead. Alan is survived by his loving wife, Judy C. Miller; two step daughters Hope Dix Sullivan and husband John, Beth Dix Straub and her husband Dee; three grandchildren; Fallon Sullivan, DePaul Straub, and Carter Straub; One brother, Bob Miller; three nieces; and two great nephews. He graduated from Bridgewater College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and earned his master’s degree in Business Administration at James Madison University in 1985. Alan was a CPA and partner of Miller and Jameson LLP in Harrisonburg, VA. Alan was a leader in the Harrisonburg community and was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Harrisonburg Baptist Church. He was an avid JMU sports fan and loved sharing that passion with his family. Alan also enjoyed traveling, Orioles baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Harrisonburg Baptist Church.
