Christina Michelle Wheeler

Christina Michelle Wheeler, 48, of Kokomo passed away at 12:27 PM Saturday March 9, 2019. Born August 10, 1971 in Kokomo, she is the daughter of the late Roy Williams and Carolyn (Flitcraft) Wheeler. She was a graduate of Kokomo High School. She then went to Ivy Tech to earn her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Following she attended Indiana Wesleyan where she was working on her Masters Degree. She was employed with Aperion Care, Kindred Healthcare, St. Vincent-Kokomo, and most recently Century Villa Healthcare in Greentown. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and most of all taking care of people. She also attended Highland Park Church. Survivors include her fiance' Dean Bazata of Kokomo; two brothers Dan (Dedee) Wheeler and Dennis (Brenda) Wheeler both of Kokomo; three half-brothers Randy Hollingsworth and Bruce Hollingsworth, both of Florida, and Gary Hollingsworth of Logansport; a half-sister Lori Monroe of Tennessee. There are also several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 14, 2019 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Ed Vasicek will officiate. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary. A Nursing Honor Guard Service will begin at 12:45 PM Thursday. Memorials may be directed to Highland Park Church with envelopes available at the mortuary.
