Robert Edward Maitland Sr.

Robert Edward Maitland Sr., 93, departed this life on March 11, 2019. He was a longtime resident of Chesterfield County and a member of the first graduating class of Thomas Dale High School. He served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II and attended Randolph Macon College upon his return. He is survived by his sister, Ann Maitland Condyles; his children, Robert Edward Maitland Jr., Earl Bruce Maitland, David Meade Maitland and Alexandra Maitland Luck; his grandchildren, Matthew Maitland, Sarah McNeil, Dr. Hillary Maitland, Kathleen Maitland and Daniel Maitland; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, on Sunday, March 17, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Dale Memorial Park on Monday, March 18, at 11 a.m.
