Anne-Marie Merlin Uson

Anne-Marie’s final days were spent in Hospice Care in Virginia Beach, Virginia after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She was 78 years old. Virginia Beach is where she lived for the past 12 years with her husband, Marcel Uson. Anne-Marie was born in Canegean, France. Her parents, Francois Merlin and Madeleine Wolf (Merlin) were originally from Switzerland. She had four siblings, the oldest was Francine, then Claudine and Jean-Francois. After Anne-Marie the youngest sibling was Michelle. In her twenties, Anne-Marie came to the United States and met Marcel who was from the same French town, Biarritz, where they both grew up as children and left for a better life. Married, Anne-Marie and Marcel lived in Douglaston, a suburb of New York City for 39 years and had two boys, Frederic and David. Both sons are married and have children. Frederic, is married to Melissa and they have a daughter, Sylvie. David is married to Debra and they have three daughters, Danielle, Devyn and Dorian and a son, Drew. Anne-Marie and Marcel had celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last August. Throughout her life she loved children, had a quirky sense of humor, loved to laugh and cared very much about her family.
