Ada Mae Hise

Ada Mae Hise, 87, of Waynesboro, passed away peacefully at her home on April 8th, 2019.
Ada Mae was born in Waynesboro, VA to Hugh and Emily Lavender on December 6, 1931. She was married to Harry Hise on February 11, 1950. She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School. She worked for several Optometry offices before retiring and then worked at Wayne Lanes for a number of years. She was a life long member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren and squared danced for 40 years.
Ada Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Emily Lavender; two brothers, Charles and Rink Lavender and her husband, of 58 years, Harry Hise.
Ada Mae is survived by her daughter, Hope Hise Walker of Waynesboro; her brother ,Edward Lavender and his wife, Martha Jane of Stuarts Draft; her granddaughter, Amy Walker Giles of Waynesboro; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Bradford, Dregan Giles and Grayson Giles; her nieces, Beverly Johnson and Renee Roberts; nephew, Shawn Lavender and a dearly loved cousin, Diane Deacon.
Per her request, there will be no service held.
She requested that in lieu of flowers sent to the family that contributions could be made to hospice.
The family would like to extend our thanks to hospice and friends and family for their outpouring of help and comfort during this time.
