Marydel Moran

Marydel Moran, 73, of Indianapolis, died on April 12, 2019. She was born April 29, 1945 in Indianapolis. Marydel will be remembered for her love of her family, especially her grandchildren. She always attended their sporting events. Her home was always open day or night for entertaining family and friends. She was a fantastic cook. Happy hour was a celebration. She enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals and Bruce Springsteen, Elvis, Al Green and Waylon. She was a hairdresser for Feeney-Hornak Mortuaries for 27 years, an instructor for Kay Beauty College and she also worked at the Board of Law Examiners. Marydel was a proud Eastside Catholic, graduating from Scecina High School in 1963. Marydel is survived by her husband Lee Joseph Moran, children Julie (Billy) Brown, Joellen Ayres, Kevin (Rachel) Ayres, Marc (Colleen) Moran, and a proud grandmother of 12, grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Genevieve Lee Ross, daughter Karen Ayres, sister Barbara Mullis-White, brother Daniel Ross. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 17 at 11 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16 from 4 – 7 pm at the Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary.
