Rose "Rosie" E. Dowden
July 23, 1946 – May 11, 2019

In loving memory of Rose "Rosie" E. Dowden. She was born on July 23, 1946, to Mary Gilliam. She passed away May 11, 2019, at 8:35 a.m. at Community Howard Regional Health. She was married to her loving husband, Larry Dowden.
Rosie enjoyed cooking, crochet, reading, music, and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with all her family and attending Rochester Church of God. Rosie retired from Delco Electronics after 25 years. She continued to work at Mier Products for over a decade.
Rosie was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband Larry; sons Michael and Greg; brothers Ron Morton and Kenny Gilliam (Baby D).
She is survived by five brothers and six sisters; her children, Paul and Jennifer Beatty their children Lindsy, Tina, Freddie and Michelle, Donnie and Vonnie Dowden their children Jamie, Keyonna and Heather, Ralph and Cindy Beatty their children Bri-Ann, Ashley, Stephanie, Carey, Jeff and Jordan, Mark Beatty and Tracey Sturgell their children Mark, Arron, John and Charles, Randy and Anna Beatty their children Shanna, James, Chris and Shane. Other grandchildren include Greg, Michelle and Jessie, daughter P.J. Parsons her children Cory, Jimmie, Rachel and Balee, daughter Jill Beatty her children Ian and Montanna, along with countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Friday, May 17, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor James Bradley will preside.
