Francis "Frank" Martin McCrory Jr.

Francis Martin “Frank” McCrory, Jr., 75 years of age, died Sunday, May 12th at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born December 23, 1943 in Louisville to the late Charlotte (Wright) and Francis M. McCrory, Sr. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Xavier High School and was former owner/operator of Thoroughbred Warehouse & Plastic Recyclers in Louisville having retired in 2013. He was a formerly in the Air National Guard and had a great love of sports, especially baseball, softball and all things University of Kentucky. He became a hot air balloon pilot in 1989 and flew the John Jones GMC balloon for many years. Frank continued to fly and loved ballooning and all the many friends he made in his travels.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Beverly J. Tabler McCrory; daughter, Dawn McCrory Jewell; grandchildren, Alex Jewell and Evan Jewell; great grandchildren, Chase Sharp and Charlotte Sharp; siblings; Dennis McCrory (Dodie), Judy Werst (Bill), Patsy Unclebach (Buz), Walter McCrory (Cindy).
Visitation will be held 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, May 16th and after 10:00 am Friday, May 17th at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday at the Kraft Chapel with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park
