Duane Lee Boyles, age 65, of Jimmerson Lake, Angola, Indiana, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Angola, Indiana from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.
Duane was born on December 29, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to Cecil Rose and Joan (Crawford) Nichols, they preceded him in death.
He was adopted at the age of 13, raised in the Catholic faith, and grew up in Northeast Indiana. He later lived in Fort Wayne, and settled in Steuben County, where he worked for many years as a journeyman millwright for several area factories. He was known to be very competitive, and was a good athlete, he played football in his younger years, and also enjoyed playing softball, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include two sons, Kain Montgomery Boyles of Angola, Indiana, and Toby Lee Thompson of Fremont, Indiana, a grandson, Kaleb Montgomery Lee Boyles of Kalamazoo, Michigan, sisters, Vicki (Larry) Ross of Iowa, and Nena Lynn (Jimmy) Swift of Des Moines, Iowa, brothers, Marty McCluskie, and Danny McCluskie, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Doug Boyles (Deanna Jensen), and Randall J. Boyles, both of South Milford, Indiana, Todd Allen Boyles of Indiana, and Tony Dale Boyles, and Troy Robert Boyles, both of St. Louis, Missouri, his adopted father, Darwin (Barb) Boyles of Rome City, Indiana, half-sisters, Lisa Rose, Leslie Rose, and Elizabeth Rose, of Kendallville, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 3-5 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will follow at 5pm Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Beams Funeral Home, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family in care of Doug Boyles and Deanna Jensen of South Milford.
