Wayne Carson Crawford, Jr., 35, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
Wayne was born on August 4, 1983, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Wayne Carson Sr. and Patricia Ann Fox Crawford. He graduated from Charlottesville High School in 2001, and worked as a Home Security Technician. Wayne loved hunting, coaching his son's baseball team, cooking on the grill, riding horses, and having family together. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend, and was always there for anyone who needed him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Fox and Lillian Fox Eubanks; paternal grandfather, Andrew Jackson Crawford; father-in-law Dan Haley; and cousin William "Bubba" Taylor.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his wife, Teresa Crawford; daughters Danielle Crawford and Chloe Morris; son, Gavin Crawford; grandmother Margie Crawford; close siblings, Monica Holloway, Waynesa Drewry, and Jeremy Crawford; additional siblings, April Rhodes, Neil Crawford, Barry Crawford, and Matthew Crawford; beloved uncle Kenny Crawford; and numerous loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 11am, at Teague Funeral Service in Charlottesville. A graveside service will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from 6-8pm, also at the funeral home. To better celebrate Wayne's life, the family invites those attending to wear bright colors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Monticello Little League.
