OBITUARY
Angelo Vannoni
February 17, 1920 – June 11, 2019
Angelo Vannoni, 99, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Westminster Village. He was born February 17, 1920 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Luigi and Argentina Vannoni.
Angelo was a WWII Veteran and a member of many organizations including, the Krietenstein American Legion Post 104, the VFW #972, the Eagles #291, the Moose Lodge #1009, and the 40 & 8. In his younger years, he played on many local baseball teams. After working 41 years at the Quaker Maid Factory and retiring from IMC, he was a horseshoe pitcher on local, state, and national teams. The amount of trophies he won was incredible.
Angelo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 43 years, Mary Alice Vannoni; a later companion of 12 years, Jean Hanley; a sister, Armanda Rodie; two brothers, Primo and Quinto Vannoni; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Vannoni.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Vannoni and companion Patty Jones, Jim (Kay) Vannoni; a grandson, Kyle (Chelsea) Vannoni; two granddaughters, Maria (Rick) Knauer, Crystal (Greg) Paauwe; five great-grandchildren; and a niece, Teresa (John) Klotz.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Grayless officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 3500 DePauw Blvd #2070, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
