Walter Franklin Griffin

Walter Franklin Griffin, 86 years of age died June 11, 2019 in New Albany, Indiana. He was born December 25, 1932 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Raymond W. and Dorothy (Elliot) Griffin and was a retired general laborer with Local #795. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War and was the widower of Marita G. Griffin. He loved to rebuild trucks and was a lifelong U of K basketball fan. Walter was a member of the First Church of God in New Albany and the VFW He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include two sons, Dirk Griffin and Brian Griffin (Cheryl); three grandchildren, Kayleigh, Athena, and Nathan; three great grandchildren, Kaia, Braxton, and Emry; brother, Richard Lee Griffin, Sr. and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday and after 12:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. His Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel. Burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
