Wright Cade, Jr.

"I slipped away the other day, and I asked the LORD to comfort you and see you all safely through. I asked for strength for my family so dear and asked the LORD to take their hands and fit them lovingly into his plan and to wipe all their tears away and give them strength for today." Wright was born in Alabama and was the only child of Ruby and Wright Cade, Sr. He attended Ridgeview Elementary and Ridgeview High School. He enlisted into the Navy and served 25 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. Being in the Navy gave him a chance to travel and see many countries: England, Japan, Philippines, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Cuba, Haiti, Portugal and Italy. While he was stationed in Texas, he met and married his wife, Mary Frances, and they celebrated 56 years of wedded bliss in March. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Department for 15 years and retired as a lieutenant. He was very active with the Green Run Little League and was honored by the Mayor of Virginia Beach for working over 40 years with the children of the Green Run Little League. Wright's parents, Ruby and Wright, Sr. preceded him in death, and he leaves behind numerous friends who he considered FAMILY, AND he leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Frances and two devoted sons ~ Randy Terence and Wright III. He also has one devoted grandson ~ Randy Tyrone and numerous relatives. One thing I hope that you know and will treasure ~ He loved people, and he LOVED all of you!
