OBITUARY
Wilma Jean Starbuck
February 2, 1932 – July 18, 2019
Wilma Jean (May) Starbuck, age 87, of Bloomington died Thursday (07/18/19) at I. U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born February 2, 1932 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Paris J. and Nellie (Hendricks) May. Wilma Jean retired as a secretary at R.C.A. after 25 years of service. She loved playing games, especially Bingo, listening to music, fishing and growing flowers and gardens.
Wilma is survived by one son, Jeffrey L. Starbuck, of Bloomington; one daughter, Linda (Tim) Shields, of Solsberry; two granddaughters, Melissa L. Cooper Simpson, of Ellettsville and Krystal (Rick) Lloyd, of Solsberry; four great-grandchildren, Samantha (Philip "PJ" Pugsley) Mizell, Lacey (Tyler) Simpson, Justin (Kristien) Lloyd and Logan (Becca Deckard) Lloyd; and three great-great- grandchildren, Daniel Mizell, Hanna Mizell and Maverick Lloyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Garland Richard Starbuck, two sons, Samuel Cooper and Stephen Starbuck, one granddaughter, Stephany Jean Starbuck, three brothers, Robert May, Glen "PK" May and Melvin May and one sister, Mary May Bruce.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary; Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital or to the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent.
