Obituary of Donald Stillabower
Donald Stillabower, 88, of Greensburg, passed away on July 20, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 27, 1931 in Shelby County, Indiana, the only son of Ross and Delcie (Spicer) Stillabower. He married his wife of 63 years, Mary (Thompson) Stillabower on July 20, 1956. Donald is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Melanie (Bob) Lane of Woodridge, IL, and Lynda (John) Lane of Shelbyville, IN; son, Duane (Helen) Stillabower of Columbus, IN, 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister- Betty Jean Rainbolt of Connersville. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters, Vivian and Julie Stillabower. Don was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Greensburg, Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. He also worked at Cummins, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed being outside, gardening and collecting John Deere tractors. Don was a jokester and loved giving people a hard time! Military Graveside Honors will be Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10:00 am at South Park Cemetery. Rev. David Blazier will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home in care of Marianne Lane, Don's 3 year old great-granddaughter who is awaiting a heart transplant.
