Fonda Leigh Beverley

Fonda Leigh (Carter) Beverley, 59, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born in Waynesboro on July 21, 1960, a daughter of the late Clyde E., Sr. and Lucille (Noe) Carter. Fonda attended Stuarts Draft High School. She last worked in the deli at Eavers Amoco, where she never met a stranger and formed many life-long friendships. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her son, Nevel Beverley, Sr; beloved mother-in-law, JoAnn Beverley; nephew, Kevin Davies and great nephew, Cameron Carter. Survivors include her son, Nevel Beverley, Jr. of Stuarts Draft; sisters, Donna Davies of Stuarts Draft and Sheryl Ratcliff of Sherando; brothers, Clyde Carter, Jr. of Sherando and Larry Dale Carter of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Cathy Beverley; brother-in-law, Kenny Beverley; as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Stuarts Draft Mennonite Cemetery with Pastor Greg Knopff officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Active pallbearers will be Tony and Henry Cooke, Marty Davies, Jeff, Mike, and Cody Carter, Doug Swisher, and Bucky Fitzgerald.
