Obituary of Harry "Red" Watson
Harry “Red” Watson 84, of Evansville, IN went to be with the Lord in his garden on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. He was born in Morgantown, KY on April 23, 1935. He was a member of Laborers Local Union 561 for 55 years. He was Superintendent at Peyronnin Construction for 18 years and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181. Harry retired as Superintendent of the Vanderburgh County Garage. He was a member of the Owls Nest No. 30, Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary Lodge 73, and The Coffee Club at Hardees. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing cards, board games, clabber and taking care of his birds and chicken. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick K. Watson (2019); and brother, Charles W. Watson. Harry is survived by his wife of 64 years Billie Ann Watson; daughter, Dorothy Lindsey; son, Robert C. Watson; grandchildren, Dustin Lindsey (Kennett), Misty Hart (Jerrod), Shauna Newman (Chris), Kara Watson, Andrea Hadley (Cameron), and Jared Watson (Angela); great grandchildren, Mikaila and Hunter Lindsey, Jaiyden and Amelia Hart, Skyler and Caleb Newman, Dorian Hadley, Jakob and Amiyah Watson. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Deaconess Midtown 2900 ICU and Deaconess Palliative Care for their loving care and support. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Ray Tucker with burial to follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
