Richard Lee Conrad

Richard Lee Conrad, 88, of Greencastle passed away Friday, August 16, 2019, at Asbury Towers. Richard was born in Greencastle on December 28, 1930, the son of Lester and Helen (Turner) Conrad, and was a 1948 graduate of Greencastle High School. Mr. Conrad owned and operated the Stop-N-Shop Grocery Store, and ran DePauw Bookstore. He was a member of the Windy Hill Country Club, and Greencastle Jaycees. Survivors include his three children, David A Conrad, (wife-Karen), Thomas Conrad, (wife-Tamara), and Karen Siler, (husband-Ralph); six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, June Conrad; a son, Bill Conrad; a grandson David Conrad Jr., and his brother, James Conrad. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 24, 2019 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Watson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday. A private family burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memories may be shared with the family at www.BittlesandHurt.com.
